Functional Digestive Testing with GI-MAP
What is GI-MAP?
GI-MAP stands for Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus. It is a comprehensive stool analysis test that utilizes the gold-standard qPCR testing. It is a highly accurate, highly sensitive test that looks at the digestive system on the genetic level and is able to detect microbes at a much smaller level than conventional GI tests.
The microbiome is a mini ecosystem in our gut that requires a delicate balance. It can easily be thrown off from things like antibiotics, poor diet, stress or medications.
